PZU-6-10 kV is used on aerial power transmission lines 6-10 kV and installed on pin insulators.
The purpose of the guard is to prevent birds of all sizes from electrocution.
Along with the main purpose, the guard protects insulators from negative environment effects (atmospheric precipitations, ultraviolet radiation), bird droppings and corrosive substances contained in the atmosphere.
The guard installation will decrease accident outage on power transmission lines and will make insulators work longer.
1. Performing attributes of PZU-6-10kV allow to leave the petticoat as open as possible, which in its turn:
- facilitates entire lower examination
- prevents the cover from water, snow, garbage and dust accumulation
- prevents small animals (birds, wasps, bees) from making nests or shelters in the inner space of the cover
2. The guard structure and high resilience of material provide possibility to open cover by rotating device along the longitudinal axis, which helps to control the integrity of insulator and wire termination, during the upper examination without its dismantlement.
3. The device is a single construction that doesn’t require any preliminary assembly.
4. Simple clamp provides easy and fast installation.
5. Light weight of the guard doesn’t load power transmission lines.
